"Licking His Chops"

As I was out on the eastern break wall at Fort Zach trying to get a shot of two pelicans standing on their post, this Green Heron who apparently was oblivious to my presence, was literally licking his chops as he was stalking his breakfast from the small fish swimming beneath him. It did not take him long to select one at which point he darted back into the crevices of the rocks to eat in private.
