"Late Bird Gets the Worm Too"

They say the early bird gets the worm but this little guy was hard at work long into the day. This is an evening photo taken with the setting sun over my shoulder. I was standing on the old broken paved road at Boca Chica Beach and noticed this sandpiper foraging along the shore. I was fortunate to hit the shutter button just as he was pulling up his dinner.
